[closed] Scheduled UPS Maintainence - At Risk Period on 13/01/2010 at 10:30

We will be carrying out maintenance which will affect some of your services with us.

Maintenance Type: Infrastructure Maintenance
Expected effect on your service: No Effect
Expected downtime duration: 0 minutes
This will occur between 10:30 and 12:30 on 13/01/2010 (UK Time)

On the 26/11/2009 we wrote about some maintenance that was required to upgrade the firmware on one of the UPS units at Spectrum House. This maintenance was originally scheduled for today, 10/12/2009, at 10:30 but has been postponed. No works were carried out today and the service was never at risk.

The work will now be happening between 10:30 and 12:30 on Wednesday 13th January 2010 (13/01/2010). As before, this work creates an “at risk” period for your service. This maintenance is not service-affecting, but during the maintenance period your service is at an increased risk.

The maintenance is to upgrade the firmware running on the UPS system in Spectrum House. This is a standard maintenance item and there should be no cause for concern. During the maintenance period the critical load will be transferred seamlessly from the UPS to the raw mains, and then when the maintenance is complete it will be transferred back seamlessly.

We have confirmed with Southern Electric that they have no maintenance scheduled during this period.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries or questions regarding this maintenance window.
